Justices of the Peace Compensation Commission
The Justices of the Peace Compensation Commission (the Commission) is established under Section 10.3 of The Justices of the Peace Act, 1988, to review the remuneration for Justices of the Peace every four years.
The Commission is currently conducting a transitional review of compensation for administrative tasks performed by Justices of the Peace, and the compensation for relief Justices of the Peace, under The Justices of the Peace Amendment Act, 2022, which came into force on May 5, 2023.
The Commission will not be sitting until 2024.
